Golf has been a lifelong interest of mine. My father introduced me to the game as a junior in 1966 and I have played to a personal best four handicap. In 1992, I began to learn custom club fitting, assembly and alteration for family and friends. Being a civil engineer by profession, I gravitated towards the technical aspects of clubmaking and eventually created my own spreadsheet for estimating pre-assembled swingweights, balance points and total weights. My son, Robbie, developed this website and wrote the programming to convert the formulas into Swingweight Estimator Basic Free and Clubmakers Calculator for the benefit of other clubmakers.
